Who’s Petteri?

Petteri Putkiranta, MSc, EE, Helsinki University of Technology, Information technology and business studies, started his professional career in Nokia Telecommunications 1989 as sales support engineer for Asian markets. Since that he lived three years in Kuala Lumpur and held several senior sales and marketing roles in Nokia Networks. In 2002 he moved to San Diego to develop emerging applications business in Nokia’s mobile phone CDMA division and before joining Sanoma 2008 he was developing Nokia’s applications and video services. In Sanoma Petteri started as Director of digital and business development with a mission to develop a sustainable digital transformation path for the leading Nordic newspaper. January 1st 2013 he took over the role of business unit director responsible for the whole commercial operations of Helsingin Sanomat. As a native finn he loves ice hockey and exploring wilderness with his family of three sons and wife.
